More Digital Scrap Pages....

Here is a cute page of Brenda & I when I was down in Arizona in September.  I am on Week 2 of my class. LOVING IT.  (don't ask Ben how I feel about it because he *might* have been privvy to a shouting spell or two I might have had with the computer!)  But I do really enjoy it.  I can't wait to do more so I can get better and more comfortable with the whole thing. I have only been talking about doing this for three or four years now!!! and I have finally started to do it! FOR ME! and I love it.  Mind you, these first layouts are part of the class and not something I came up with on my own.  But I did it. and I love it. so, enjoy!

First Digi Page

I did for get to post my first page I completed. I did one of these similar a few years back, but this time, its going to stick.  I have signed up for a few classes, so I know I will follow through.  I also feel like this is the future of scrapbooking for me.

So, here it is.  :)  ta daaa....

Preparing....getting my ducks in a row.

Its the week before new years...got Christmas cleaned up and out of the house.  except for the tid bits of "winter" decorations (aka: snowflakes) that I like to leave up to entice the snow to come for a visit.  I love the snow and anything I can to support its arrival.  :) In the meantime, I am thinking ahead to my new years resolutions, and anything I can do to organize my life.  Every year it seems my word for the year has something to do with organization.  This year, its going to have to be different.  I have yet to organize my life.  But what I have been trying to do is take it one step at a time, and organize things as I come upon them, rather than the daunting task of "everything in my life" then I just get bored and don't do any of it!  But, the most important thing is EXERCISE. I have been very lazy since I started PT, and have to get back on the wagon. I ate much better today, and tomorrow is another day...and I will be even better tomorrow!

So, I posted on the blog again. I have started my online digi-scrap classes. I love doing it...I can't wait to do more.  But I am tired, so I am going to go to bed and tomorrow, I don't have work, so I will have me some coffee, and sit down with the laptop and go at it again!  Might even steal the kids slanket to make it better! You hear all about these "Snuggies" but let me tell you, the "Slanket" that the boys got from grandma is pretty cool! Its so much thicker and cozier than a Snuggie.  I'm all for it!  :)

Christmas Decorating

It started early Saturday morning, McLendons was having a sale on trees...of course, Dear Husband said we had to go when they opened!  So, 7am, bright and early, we headed to get our tree.  Ran into a family we know from Football. All the trees were frozen!  It was so crazy! Didn't take us long to pick the perfect tree.  and headed home to do some chores.  It was Brandens birthday party that day, so I had to wrap a present and start the decorating.  Ended up spending the day mostly shopping, becuase I needed to get to JoAnns to find something to hang on the wall.  Very disappointed with the selection of Christmas stuff to hang on the walls!  We came back and headed to Kohls and took the kids to the movies, and stopped at Target and Home Depot.  Phew!  I was tired.  Up until 1am decorating the tree and cleaning!

What a day!

But it turned out great.  I love all of my new decorations.  I went with white lights and all different colored ornaments, including pink and purple....which I love, Love, LOVE!!!

Doing more decorating around the house today....Post pictures of that later. Jim is very good at hanging my lights. The fire is burning and the roast is in the crockpot, and it is super cozy & Christmasy in my house!  I love it.

Well, off to get back to my chores.....

TSO

This afternoon I went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra with my parents, and my brother.  It was a very entertaining show.  I love their music because you just get caught up in it...its not repetative.  One thing: They flip their hair around a lot! :)  So, when I got out of there, I was very tempted! But, I refrained from making a fool of myself in public.  (this time!)

Afterwards we went to the spaghetti factory for dinner, had a little chit chat, and headed home.  It was a great afternoon/evening.  Looking forward to getting some things done around the house tomorrow, as I was not successful at that at all today!  I won't even go into detail about the mountian of laundry that needs folding and to be put away!

New Moon

The movie was everything I wanted it to be, and funnier.  I was amazed at how empty the theatre was....there were only three people in front of us in line.  There was never a big line.  They only had three shows sold out and fourteen theatres playing the movie.

We ended up buying tickets to a 9pm viewing of Twilight because those people were able to keep those seats for New Moon.  We figured it would be something to pass the time.  Thats a long time to be waiting in line.  My back was already killing me!  Don't misunderstand, it was TOTALLY worth it!  :)

There was Me, Samantha, Keri, Cheri and a friend, Mandy, Jamie, Melanie, Marissa & Tevin.  I purchased 10 tickets.  Its hard to coordinate too many people.  But we were very fortunate because our theatre had an older fan base, so there was A LOT less screaming and carrying on.  That made it so nice! I meant when there was chatter, it was louder and lasted longer than in a regular movie, but there wasn't all the teeny bopper screaming going on.  There were a few moments, but compared to Twilight...SO MUCH BETTER!  I think overall, this movie was better too. I love the adjustment to their "look" with the new contacts.  Much more realistic.  Well, I don't want to give to much away about the movie.  But, I sure enjoyed it.  Looking forward to seeing it again.

And now, I must read the book again!
